To start we will first navigate to our distribution lists. Your distribution lists can be found by selecting “Contacts” on the navigation panel found on the left hand side of our platform, and selecting “Distribution Lists.” This feature is a way to organize your contacts and is a core feature of our platform. Contacts can be in more than 1 distribution list.
Create
To create a new distribution list you can do so by selecting, “Create New Distribution List” found in the top right hand corner of our platform. All of the fields will have to be filled out in order to make a new distribution list. Here is a quick breakdown of what each field is:
Distribution List Name: This is the name that will be displayed on our platform.
Monthly Message Frequency: When a new subscriber opts-in, they will receive a system message that includes how many messages a month they can expect to receive from you.
Message Content Type: When a new subscriber opts-in, they will receive a system message that includes the type of messages they would receive. For example if this distribution list was for employees, the type of messages they might receive would “Employee alerts”
Alternate List Name: This is the list name for other features such as our API. No spaces are accepted for the alternate list name.
Once all the fields are filled out we can select “Create” and our new distribution list will be created.
Distribution lists can be created through other features of the platform as well, such as when you are creating a new keyword, or importing contacts. The same 4 fields covered earlier will need to be filled out.
